	Welcome From the Principal

Dear Students & Parents,

    Welcome to the New Student Questions & Answers section of the St. Pius X High School Web site. Since many of our current parents and students contact us by email, we thought we would add a page just for you.
    We've included some regular questions that we receive from new students, but we will be willing to answer others that pop into your head as we get closer to next school year.
    It is important that you have the information that you need, but at the same time, we try not to give you too much at one time! The calendar outline has been set, but the faculty will meet at the end of the school year to add all the school activities. You will receive a calendar of events for the entire school year during the summer so you can begin to make plans with your family.
   Enjoy the end of your school year...I know you will be as busy as we will be here at St. Pius. Take care and let us know if you need anything to make you feel more comfortable for your transition to St. Pius!

Bibles
All Freshmen are required to purchase The Catholic Youth Bible, published by the St. Mary Press. Several of the Catholic grade schools use the same Bible. There is no need to purchase a new one. Students who need to purchase a Bible for the school year can do so during the Textbook Distribution days in August. The Bibles are available through the St. Pius X High School Bookstore.

These Bibles will be used for all four years of religion at St. Pius. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Gary Werkmeister, Campus Ministry Coordinator.

Bus Shuttle
The bus shuttle (Huskey Bus Service) from Immaculate Conception Parish, Arnold to St. Joseph Parish, Imperial to St. Pius X High School will continue for the 2009-2010 school year. Mrs. Linda Pfaff (636-296-8005) will coordinate the program. Please contact Mrs. Pfaff if you are interested in using the shuttle. "Hats off" to Mrs. Pfaff for continuing their commitment to the bus shuttle program. "Thank you."

Student Insurance
Student insurance is available through Student Resources, a division of United Healthcare. You can access information about the program at their website (http://www.k12studentinsurance.com) and go to the Parents/Guardians section at the bottom of the page.
