Kathryn A. “Kathy” (Fischer) Ray, 75, of O’Fallon died Aug. 28, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Charles. Mrs. Ray was a 1967 graduate of St. Pius X High School in Festus and a 1970 graduate of DePaul School of Nursing. She spent her entire nursing career with SSM Health until her retirement. She enjoyed watching game shows and was an avid Cardinal baseball fan. Born June 15, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Zulma (Reecht) and Edwin J. Fischer.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Ray.
She is survived by two siblings: Carl (Brenda) Fischer of Festus and Barbara (Glen) Westover of Florissant; four nieces and nephews: Linda (David) Howard, Leah (Vado) Westover, Zachary Westover and Cody Fischer; and four great-nieces and nephews: Cate, Josie, Cora and Luke.
No services were held per Mrs. Ray’s request.
