The unique 583 Program, exclusive to St. Pius X, was launched over 15 years ago. Students embark on 5 trips to 8 different colleges during their initial 3 years at StPX. This initiative allows students to explore universities in diverse settings – urban, rural, and small-town environments, varying in size with student populations ranging from 2,000 to 15,000 undergraduates. In addition to the 583 Program, the College Placement office has added visits to technical colleges; Ranken Technical College and the State Technical College of Missouri.
Many St. Pius X students use the 583 Program to determine which types of schools are most appealing to them. Some graduates have found their eventual college or university through these trips.
